Costigliole d’Asti and its surroundings have a very rich wine and food traditions. In and around the town itself, more than 12 wines are produced.

From the Barbera grape are produced:

In addition, in the Costigliole d’Asti are produced several other red wines:

Costigliole has so much to offer: history, art, culture, traditions, wines, and last but not least, local culinary traditions. In addition to white truffles, this area offers some unique gastronomic delights such as Peperone Quadrato d'Asti, which is a bell pepper that is very appreciated for its consistency and versatility by chefs and gourmets around the world.

Traditional dishes of this area include vitello tonnato (veal with a special creamy sauce), insalata di carne cruda battuta al coltello (a special meat tartar), peperoni in bagna càuda (bell peppers in warm sauce), salumi e cotechini (cured meats and salamis), fritto misto alla piemontese (mixed fried bits), finanziera, ravioli con il plin (ravioli with a special meat stuffing), tajarin (a type of tagliatelle), bolliti con bagnet (boiled meats with a green sauce), roasted meats, bunet al cioccolato (a chocolate desert), zabaione al moscato (zabaione with moscato wine), tirà and turcet.
